What is your mooncake taste?

To celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, XMandarin organized a Moon Cake making event for our students. Our students joined together and learned the making of these special Moon Cakes. One of the many special foods of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.
歪果仁总是对中国的美食特别感兴趣，
每逢这个节那个节都要来问问，
“你们中国人在那天吃什么呀？”
那么，
还记得咱们的中秋节吗？
对！做月饼！


 
Our Chef-baker of the day explained the different ingredients we are putting together. We had many different delicious flavors for the moon cakes.
月饼师傅给我们每人分了五种馅儿，
五仁（请不要嫌弃...）、牛肉、哈密瓜、蛋黄莲蓉、枣泥……
 

 
step 1:
Make an ball of the ingredient
第一步
我们来先把面和馅儿搓成圆球吧
 

 
Step 2:  
Join the ingredients together, the tasteful part in the center and the other part around it.
第二步
均匀地把馅儿揉在面团里
 

 
Step 3:  
The serious part, making the moon cake gets his beautiful form.
第三步
用磨具压出月饼的基本形状
 

 
▲ Put the moon cakes in to the squeeze machine.
▲ And if you did it good, it became this beautiful mooncake.
 

 
We all made 6 moon cakes, to eat for our self. But also to give away to loved once.
 
Step 4:
Time to cook the moon cakes
We had to wait for several minutes, in that time we enjoyed a nice cup of Chinese tea. And we talked, made new friends and waited for the fresh moon cakes to come out of the oven.
月饼们都已准备就绪排排坐好，
接下来很重要的步骤，
就是入烤箱。
20分钟，
我们在一起聊天、喝茶，交朋友……
 

 
Step 5:
And there they are, the fresh cooked moon cakes.
出炉啦！！！
烤至金黄的外表，
加上浓浓的香气，
都让我们对它们的味道无比期待！

大家都已经迫不及待的想跟自己的作品合个影了！
 

 
And the last step is to wrap up the moon cakes in beautiful packings.
We all had a lot of fun at the event and got some delicious moon cakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
